Our panel of experienced attorneys will explore 28 U.S.C. § 1782, which allows foreign litigants to obtain discovery through U.S. Courts. The panel will address the parameters of the statute, and how it can be used to obtain document and deposition discovery for suits in foreign countries. The receiving end, how international litigators can benefit from the provision. Defending U.S. clients from attempts to procure discovery through the statute. And recent hurdles caused by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
